crispy onion chicken

I saw a recipe in one of my Taste of Home magazines and decided to try it last night.  Oh ... my ... gosh.  It was excellent!  It was one of the simplest recipes but also one of the tastiest.  Please try it.  You won't be disappointed.

Crispy Onion Chicken

Prep:  10 min.   Bake:  30 min.   Yield:  4 servings

1/2 cup butter, melted
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon ground mustard
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 can original french fried onions (or however much you need to coat the chicken; they said to crush these, but I just left them as they were and it was perfect)
4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves

In a shallow bowl combine the butter, worcestershire sauce, ground mustard, garlic salt, and black pepper.  In another shallow bowl, add the french fried onions.  Dip the chicken in the butter mixture, then coat with onions.

Place in a 9 in square baking pan.  Drizzle any remaining butter mixture.  Top with extra onions.  Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until chicken juices run clear.
