The other night I fixed Party Sandwiches for dinner. They are so easy and so yummy! My wonderful mother-in-law, Jill Westbrook, gave me the recipe and I wanted to share it with all of you!
12 hawaiian rolls (My grocery store didn't have any so I used wheat rolls and they were just as good!)
12 slices of ham
12 slices of swiss cheese (You can cut them in half to fit inside the rolls. Also, baby swiss is good.)
1/2 cup of butter (melted)
1/2 tsp. worcestershire sauce
1/2 T poppy seeds
1 1/2 T yellow mustard
1 T dried minced onion
Mix and melt ingredients in a small bowl.
Cut rolls in half and place bottom halves in a 9 x 13 baking dish. Layer ham and cheese on top. Fold cheese in the middle of the ham. Place the top halves of the rolls on top of the ham and cheese.
Pour sauce over sandwiches, cover with foil, and refrigerate overnight.
Bake at 350 covered for 10 minutes. Uncover and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes until brown on top.
These are good hot or at room temperature.
