(You're in a different chair for this month's picture due to us living with Jmama and Boat for the past 2 weeks. Slab leaks are no fun, but we're glad we have a place to go!)

You have been a joy to add into our family. You are a happy, easy baby. I'm so grateful for this.
At the beginning of this month, we started swaddling you with both arms up so your hands were by your mouth. You fall asleep sucking your right fingers and your left arm acts as a guard over your right. It's really cute to watch. You go down for naps fairly quickly. Sometimes there are a couple minutes of crying, but other times you are completely quiet. You take the longest to go to sleep at night, maybe fussing for around 5-10 minutes.
At your appointment, you weighed in at 14 lbs. and 11 oz. (58th percentile) and were 26 inches long (95th percentile). You are gaining and growing! You are basically down to 3 naps. A 4th nap will occasionally happen if you fall asleep in the car, but for the most part, that nap is done. Naps are typically 1.5-2 hours long and you sleep around 10.5-11 hours at night.
You've got chubby little cheeks that I love to kiss and we're all wondering if you're going to end up with red hair. Right now, it has hints of strawberry. I would be so thrilled to have a little red-headed girl in the family!
You don't love your car seat. 20-30 minutes is about all you will tolerate. Of course, you are happier for longer with highway driving, but when we're having to stop and go, you're over it. There have been several times that I put our lullaby CD in and you immediately go from screaming to being absolutely silent. It's a miracle!
Just like Duke (and most Babywise babies), you always would prefer a bed/separate room to sleep in. You rarely ever fall asleep while we're out, but I'm okay with that. I'd rather work around your schedule so you are well-rested. I'm more rested that way, too!
I have loved watching your interaction with Duke. You immediately perk up when he's in the room and your eyes are completely on him and what he's doing or saying. He loves when you "talk" to him and smile at him. I can't wait to see your relationship grow.
4 months is just a wonderful age. You love grabbing your feet and all of your beautiful smiles are now accompanied with giggles and big, hearty laughs. You are just a gorgeous little baby and I am smitten by you.
