letters to veda - 2 months

May 10, 2017

Dear Veda,

You are a really easy baby and are just the perfect 5th piece to our family puzzle. You are a great sleeper, you are eating so well, and you are so happy when you're awake. You sit contently in your bouncer and watch all the life that is happening around you.

You eat 6 times a day - 5-6 oz. each bottle, but closer to 4 oz. for the last two bottles of the day. Your waketime is an hour, but increases a bit throughout the day. You are taking 4 naps a day and a couple of days before you turned 2 months old, you started sleeping 11 hours at night! You weigh 13 lbs. 4 oz. (83%) and are 25 in. long (>99%).

This past Sunday, you had your first time in the nursery at church and everything went so smoothly!

Nova doesn't like it when you cry in the car. Many times, it will bring her to tears. Although I don't love having two crying girls, it is sweet seeing the way she cares about you. Once she pulls herself together, she then starts singing through her repertoire of songs to calm you down. Overall, you seem to be enjoying the car seat a lot more these days which is nice!

Duke and Nova love to come with me when I get you up from your naps. It is their favorite thing to bust through the door and say, "Veda!" Duke calls you "sweet precious" and Nova always says, "Aww, she's so cute!" You are so adored.

You are such a snuggle bug. My most favorite moments with you are after feedings during the day when I just keep you close to my chest and look into your eyes while we chat about things. I love hearing your coos. Seeing your eyes light up and your sweet smile are some of the greatest things I see all day. Oh, I am so in love with you and every little thing that you do.

Love,
Mom
