letters to veda - 9 months
December 10, 2017
You weigh 19 lbs. 14 oz. (76% // you lost a lot of weight when you had the stomach bug) and are 30 in. long (99%). You sleep 12 hours at night and, depending on the day, take 2 or 3 naps. You still eat 3 solid feedings and 4 bottles. You have mastered the art of picking up small pieces of food. We love watching the effort you put into chewing with a full mouth of gums.
You love to wave, clap, and repeat all of the sounds that we make. One of Duke's favorite things to do with you is to say something and wait for you to repeat it. You are still doing the army crawl and haven't attempted to pull up yet.
The craziest thing from this month was the stomach bug you caught. You got it before your siblings and dad and you kept it until after they were all better. It was about a 10 day ordeal and there were some pretty scary moments. There were a few times we thought we'd end up in the hospital to get some fluids in you just like we had to do for Nova when she was your age. But thankfully, we kept it under control. We were so glad to get our happy, talkative, playful baby back.
We are so thankful for the sweet little person you are and the precious demeanor you have. We love you, Veda.
