I too felt like I missed out a lot of "normal" baby stuff because of trying to mitigate the spit up issue. It did get better until it was gone, but it sure wasn't a picnic for several months.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6139933170224696069.post-32892441269617665772012-04-14T20:29:13.034-05:002012-04-14T20:29:13.034-05:00I've said this before, and I'll just say i...I've said this before, and I'll just say it again... you're a wonderful mom. You're perfect for lil' Duke and there's nobody else in the entire planet earth that would be better to take care of him than you. Even in the midst of spit-ups, laundry and fits. I think the hardest thing about being a mom to an infant is the thought of "will this all be meaningful?"... they can't do much and we have to do e-ve-ry-thing for them. Plus they spit up on us. And if they have reflux it's spit up X 100. You're doing awesome, Claire and this season really is almost over! Each baby grows differently, you're not missing on anything in his life. Anyways, give that lil' stinky-spit-up-boy a kiss from me and love to you!Mirelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03771523595774645505noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6139933170224696069.post-2490459092893647332012-04-12T17:16:49.334-05:002012-04-12T17:16:49.334-05:00Claire, I love your posts. I've seen two poor moms and my little sister suffer through having children with it, and you're so right that people just don't get it. It rearranges your entire schedule, and you get trapped in a gross, frumpy world of yoga pants and t-shirts! Hang in there! You're doing a great job!!Andreahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03394865535275045672noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6139933170224696069.post-70740507923215802972012-04-10T19:34:45.571-05:002012-04-10T19:34:45.571-05:00Love your honesty. I remember being exhausted and frustrated and yes, wet with puke. I think I cried as much as she did. You can get through this. It WILL come to an end. In the meantime, stock up on laundry detergent, wear old clothes, cry when you feel like it and enjoy that beautiful boy.Dana Mnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6139933170224696069.post-18089984549396376972012-04-10T14:23:10.267-05:002012-04-10T14:23:10.267-05:00i like the way that you put it... your frustration...i like the way that you put it... your frustration is not at your child.. the frustration is at the situation. i feel like as a parent, you try EVERYTHING and sometimes it seems as all you do is a hit a brick wall.. its frustrating. and hard. and i am definitely with you in having those days where i feel like the most effective thing for me to do is cry.daniellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16956609663529668427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6139933170224696069.post-74583292263971230572012-04-10T14:18:28.718-05:002012-04-10T14:18:28.718-05:00So well put! Especially, the feelings of repeatedly doing the dishes, laundry, etc. only so they can be done the next day. So many days I go...what's the point? Glad I'm not the only one! I totally agree that these moments come and go, and the good totally outweighs the bad. But some days the bad days seem like the couldn't get any worse. I always love reading what you write.
