weekend review - a 5k, a party, and some stitches

On Friday, we decided to make a last minute visit to the Chambers' household.  These 3 rascals had a party together.

(They always have somewhere they need to be, hence the blurriness.)

And by party, I mean Duke and Kai cried almost the whole time.  They haven't quite made a connection yet.

Saturday morning, Colt and I ran the Elvis 5k with some other lovely ladies.

(Jenny, Sara, Me, Karlie)

Besides the fact that it was a very cold day to run, the race went well!  I ran it in 30:55 and was pleased.  After that, we went to Old School Bagel - the perfect reward for running 3 miles on a gross day.

Later that afternoon, we caught a sweet moment during Duke's nap.  I could watch this boy sleep for hours and hours.

Saturday was also Camryn's birthday party.  I can't believe she's already one!

The party was ... well, just what you'd expect from an 8 month old girl, two 10 month old boys, a 1 year old girl, a 14 month old boy, a 2.5 year old boy, and a bunch of adults.  Crazy.  Which is pretty much our normal.

Well, my weekend review was a day late due to a visit to the ER yesterday.  Duke had a little accident and ended up with 5 stitches.  (More on that whole deal tomorrow.)

And speaking of yesterday, Gospel Centered Discipleship posted an article of mine on their website.  It's about my journey with anxiety and I'd love it if you took the time to read it.  Click here to check it out.

Hope you guys had a lovely weekend and an ER-free Monday!

  1. Haha I can't imagine that party! I'm sure it was just outrageous. And I can't believe Camryn is one either - crazy!

Yay for your running time - the half is getting closer!

Loved your article - so good. It's so awesome how you are willing to share your story!

    1. Yes, outrageous is a good word for it! And I guess it'll just keep getting crazier and crazier with more and more babies!
