a comfy maternity shoot

I know you've heard me go on and on about my sweet friend Makenzie and her photos.  But I just really love them.  I love how simple they are.  I love how real life they are.  I love how natural they are.

After thinking about possible ideas on where to get our maternity/family pictures done, I finally landed on our home.  I wanted these photos to reflect our lives - as if Makenzie randomly showed up to our house with her camera in hand to capture some moments that were already happening.  No makeup, no fancy clothes, and no organized props.  The 3 (or, I guess, 4) of us just snuggled up our bed and Makenzie went to town.

We are so, so pleased with these photos.  I love having these moments captured as an almost family of 4.  These were taken at 34 weeks and I'm currently 36 weeks and a couple of days.  The time is drawing near!
