lost and found

Just wanted to share a little bedtime story with you ...

"(sighs and grunts)"
"Colt, what are you looking for?"
"My brown belt."
"It's at the bottom of your closet by your shoes."
"Why?"
"Because you left it on the floor the other day and I threw it in there so I could vacuum."
"Oh."
A few minutes later ...
"(sighs and grunts)"
"What's wrong?"
"Well, I can't find my other running glove."
"It's in the car."
"How do you know?"
"Because the other day when we got done running, you only brought one glove in."
"Where is it in the car?"
"In the cupholder."
Leaves to go and check the car ... comes back a minute later ...
"You're a good wife."

Those are words I will always love to hear ... in spite of my frequent grouchiness and stress.  You're a good wife.  And Colt, you're a good husband.

To all who have lost things, may your spouse find them.  :)  Goodnight.

  1. This happens to Jeremy and I, too. I will randomly see an item, he will ask, "Where is my _____?" and then I'll know. I think this happens for a reason. Plus, hearing, "You are a good wife," NEVER gets old.
