On Friday, I got this gem in the mail. Cannot wait to start reading it!
That evening, we cleaned for our full day of company the next day. We even got this little guy in and situated.
This was one of Colt's Christmas presents to me this year. We saw the desk at a thrift store and he secretly went back and got it for me as a way to encourage me in my writing. I really love it.
Saturday morning, the Sullivans came to town and joined us for brunch and Closet Cleanout day! (Obviously Eric and Colt did not participate in the cleaning of the closet.)
I won't give you all the details just yet, but I will say that without counting items, I'm guessing I got rid of half my closet. It feels so good. I can't wait to share the rest with you!
That evening, the Wolevers joined us for steaks, ice cream, and a bunch of hilarious stories (mostly provided by Kent, of course).
We irresponsibly went to bed around 12:30 a.m., which was actually 1:30 a.m. After about 5.5 hours of sleep, we got up to go play with Mark at Cherokee Hills. A nap is always in order on Sundays, but I needed a nap in a different way that day. I felt like I just might die if my body didn't rest. I slept from 2:00 to 5:15 and when I woke up, I felt like a truck had run over me. But in a good way.
This weekend was equal parts fun and getting things done. Those are the best kinds of weekends in my opinion.
