lullaby track list

As we're approaching the end of our Kickstarter campaign, we're wanting to share a few little teasers to really pull you in if we haven't already.

P.S. If you haven't liked The Night Nights on Facebook, you should.  We'll be sharing some audio clips of some preliminary mixes of our favorite tunes on the album.  Don't miss out!

If you're new to the whole Kickstarter thing, there's no weird scheme behind it.  If we reach our goal, we will use this money for everything that goes into making a full length album.  The perk is that you will have already pre-ordered it and it will be delivered right to you!

Okay, okay.  The track list.

When (I wrote this song within the first couple of months of Duke being born.  I jotted the lyrics down on my phone during a middle-of-the-night nursing session and put music with it later.  It's such a special song to me.)
A Bushel and a Peck (There were many laughs had in the making of this one!)
God is So Good/Jesus is All the World To Me (Duke is used to us singing "God is So Good" to him and he knows it well.  When he first listened to the recording in the middle of the day, he looked at me, confused, and said, "Night night?"  So if you're wondering whether or not this album encourages sleep, there's your answer.)
Twinkle Twinkle (Can you really even have a lullaby album without this song?  Of course not!  We enjoyed adding our own little Eric Whitacre-esque flair to this one.)
My Own Home (This is the song that seems to get overlooked in "Jungle Book," but it's one of the best ones!  We grew up singing this one and it was a must-have on this album.)
Dancing With My Baby (If you know my family well, you already know this song.  My mom wrote this about Karlie and recorded it on her album she did in the early 90's.  It was really neat to be able to sing the BGVs with Karlie on this one.  I don't think it would've worked out so well back when she originally recorded it, as we were ages 2 and 7.)
Merritt Mae (I wrote this song for Reese as a gift to her before Merritt was born.)
Jesus Loves Me (Karlie's vocals on this song with turn you into a puddle of mush.  It's so wonderful.)
You Are My Sunshine (One of our family favorites.)
La La Lu (Do you remember that perfect song that the mom sings to her new baby in "Lady and the Tramp"?  It's magical.)
Forever (I wrote this one night in my living with my keyboard set up while Duke was sleeping.  Let's just say there were many tears shed during the process.)
Count Your Blessings (You know when Bing Crosby melts your heart by singing this song in "White Christmas"?  We're hoping to do the same.  This song features a surprise vocalist and you won't want to miss out on hearing it!)
It Is Well (I think we can all agree this is one of the most peaceful hymns there is.)

If you haven't noticed this in my sidebar yet, we have planned to have a little album release show at Cuppies and Joe on Saturday, December 21st.  It'll be in the morning (maybe around 9-10ish) either during or after their Saturday story time.  We'll keep you updated on details as it gets closer.  We'd love for you to come!  Enjoy some coffee, a tasty cupcake, and some lullabies.  Bring your kiddos, too!

We've raised $2,215 and have until December 6th to reach our goal of $6,000.  Thanks for all of your support!
