I wake up around 8:00-8:15, get ready for the day (which means brush my teeth and wash my face) and make my bed. If I'm lucky, I can read/journal and do some other quiet chores before Duke wakes up.
Anywhere from 8:30-9:45, Duke will wake up. He plays for a bit while I get his breakfast together (either oatmeal and fruit or pancakes and fruit).
Yesterday, we actually went on a little donut date to change things up a bit.
After he eats, I fix my coffee and cereal.
Then it's time to run errands (grocery store, bank, walking up and down the aisles of Target while coveting, the park, etc.).
Lunchtime happens anywhere from 12:00-12:30. Then we play and read books.
Duke takes a nap around 1:45. I use his nap time to do laundry, pick up, do a DVD work out, do dishes, clean, prep dinner, blog, etc. (Obviously I don't do all of those things every day, but you get the point.)
My students arrive for lessons and Duke wakes up from his nap all at the same time. This tends to be the most chaotic part of the day.
Dinner starts getting prepared by either Colt or me (if I'm not teaching) around 5:00-5:30. We all eat around 6:00-6:30.
The hour or so after dinner is really precious to us. We cherish the nights when we don't have anything and are able to just be at home, playing in the living room together as a family of 3.
Duke goes to bed around 8:00. Colt and I pick up toys, finish dishes, and then enjoy our time together. And it's pretty much a necessity that I eat 3 of these before the night ends.
And that's a day in the life!
Extra creamy!? Are you pulling my leg!?
ReplyDeleteAnd that Duke sure is a cutie!

DeleteAnd thanks! We think he's pretty great. ;)
