last easter as a family of 3

We had a lovely Easter weekend with our family.  Each year, my amazement at the cross and the Resurrection grows - partly because I'm growing as a parent and beginning to relate with more aspects of the story, and partly because I think God is gradually allowing me to take more of it in.  I see more of His character and love in my daily life which makes me even more grateful when this time of year rolls around.

After a wonderful and celebratory church service, we went to my parents' house for lunch and Easter egg hunting.  Duke was okay with the hunting part, but mostly loved opening the eggs to see what was inside.  He had his first Reese's Egg and Jelly Bean experiences and he was most definitely a fan of both.

(Somehow, there isn't a picture of Jmama and Duke.  But this one was taken just one day before Easter so it totally counts. :))

I loved the family time together all day.  Each moment we get closer to Nova's arrival, the more aware I am of the things we do as just a family of 3.

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter holiday and enjoyed celebrating the gift of getting to live real and full and hopeful lives on this earth because of what Jesus has done for us.
